CARDS FROM THE ORACLE DECK
UNIVERSES, GALAXY & STAR SYSTEM
Universes/Kiuren: In RP and fic canon, alternate realities exist. A kiur (plural - kiuren) is a massive network of universes, almost infinite in number. The words universe, reality, and strand are interchangeable.
There are spaces between the kiuren, known as the void. The void also exists between strands, but within the kiur, it is 'shallower'. It's possible for powered beings like gods to hop from strand to strand albeit rarely; but only supremely powered beings, such as the Prime Powers can cross into another kiur.
Galaxy: Cosmos Redshift 7 (Which actually exists. The rest of this is invented.) It is one of the oldest galaxies. It is partially responsible for the creation of the universe. The natives don't call it that though, over there, it's called The Architect's Iris.
Star System: Marbacchia is the name of the sun. It's the Marbacchian star system. It has never been specified in canon how many planets there are, but I’m going to pin it down to seven.

NEBULA & PLANET
Nebula: The entire star system is surrounded by a sentient nebula, known as Danaë, or Mother Danaë. She is in fact a type of angel known as a Throne, a kingdom builder.
Keldra: Keldra is a nexus world. Also known as Marbacchia Prime, and Danaë's Cradle. Keldra is the size of Saturn, and each Keldran year is equal to four of our years. The entire world, gravity, atmosphere, etc, is artificially maintained by Danaë.
Realms: Realms are not the same as countries. In fact, each realm may contain several countries. Keldra is swathed in realms. Each of these is a different reality, occupying the same space. One can travel through the realms using portals or teleportation technology. If one has natural teleport ability, one can move about freely.
Realms include mortal realms, hell realms, paradise realms, dusk realms, shadow realms, fae realms, among others. They are finite in number, but nobody has ever been able to count them all.

GODS & POWERS (A god is not the same as a Power.)
The Arc: The Architect is the name Keldrans use for The Creator, who is basically a fictional version of God. The Arc is the Creator of this kiur. He is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent... but only in this kiur, the one he created. Other kiuren were created by beings similar in power to Him. (The Arc is considered a Prime Power)
Kuvahli: Another Prime Power, Also known as the Liar, Void, and the UnGod. Kuvahli is a being of similar power to the Arc, but is from another kiur. Genderless, the pronoun used for Kuvahli is It... which It does not mind at all. Its domain is the void, the places between kiuren and universes, where nothing, not even gods and other Prime Powers can survive.
The Arc and Kuvahli have an understanding and are not at war, however, one does not bare one's throat to the UnGod, and so one imagines the alliance is a tad precarious. Keldra acknowledges and worships The Arc, but has also pledged itself to Kuvahli (with The Arc's blessing.) Effectively, every version of Keldra in every strand within this kiur, belongs to Kuvahli.
Kuvahli has a number of avatars It projects, with which to interact with tiny mortals. Its true form is unknowable, and mortal minds (yes, It considers gods mortals) cannot fully comprehend It.
The Kayori: These are the gods of Keldra, true hatchlings of Danaë. They are not omnipotent, but are more like the Olympian gods than beings like The Arc. There are under twenty of them so far. They're not related by blood or genetically, but in a way are related by element, clan, etc. They do refer to each other as maybe brother, uncle, sister and so on, but all incest (and there is a lot of that) is really in name only.
The Kayori rule Keldra openly. With a hedonistic bunch of gods in charge, the world is sexually uninhibited and enlightened. Sex between friends of any species and interspecies, is normal. Historically, there was never any shame attached to sex. As long as mortals take precautions to prevent transmission of STDs and really do respect each other in the morning, promiscuity is not shameful. In fact throughout their galaxy, 'friends with benefits' is also referred to as 'a Keldran friendship'.
The lack of Christianity and the presence of very real gods throughout history, has meant that Keldra evolved differently from Earth. Scientific advances were never decried as heresy. Witchcraft/magic was never considered evil, but an integral part of life. Women were never considered inferior. Racial intolerance is far less prevalent, as the gods vary in species and skin colour. LGBTQ citizens were never forced to hide their true selves away. It's not a perfect world, but it is far from unpleasant.
Some Kayori are dark-aligned, or dual-natured gods. As a race however, they are inclusive and curious. They will take in strays, but woe betide any creature who tries to harm them, or their world.
All Kayori are on an evolutionary path that will eventually lead to them becoming Powers. They don't always breed the way mortal beings do, it's complicated, but basically they're created by Danaë, and not born from a womb, mostly. They cannot interbreed with other races.
The Tzars: Two of the gods, Vahlmir and Simon Ravenhead, rule the others as Tzarkaehl and Tzarkahn respectively. They are also Chieftains of their own clans.
The Chieftains: The heads of each clan. There is a corresponding Chieftain for Fire, Water, Air, Chaos and Keld (earth.)
The remaining Kayori are subject to the rule of the Tzars and chieftains. In turn, the entire world is subject to all Kayori, although different social groups and species will adopt a god as their personal Lord or Lady.
Ed'iori: These are Edion (see palace life below) who have transcended and have become beings composed entirely of light and magic. They are deities of Keldra, and baby Powers in their own right.
Xen'ori: These are beings who are acknowledged as gods by Keldra, yet who are not Kayori. A Xen'ori is an alien god who has made a home here, or a god from Keldra itself, who has become a god by means of their own unique evolution. Keldra has a few of these knocking around.

PALACE LIFE/ZACK
Staff: The Kayori make excellent employers, and anyone who goes to work for them considers it the best job on the planet. There are security operatives, cleaning staff, attendants, kitchen staff, office staff. These places are large and lavish.
Slaves: Word gets around the galaxy and Keldra's allies that the gods care about people, not things. Hence, whenever a visiting dignitary brings a gift, it is very often an exquisitely bred pleasure slave. (Although solid gold buttplugs have been known to be offered.)
The seraglio: This is part of any palace that houses a kind of harem. Instead of wives, however, these house the pleasure slaves of whichever god owns the palace. (Zack is the Prime Concubine to the Tzars, meaning he's superior to the others, but not necessarily that he is responsible for them all. The Tzars like their slaves to have as few responsibilities as possible. Leaving time for leisure and pleasure.)
Edion (and Ed'iori): These are genetically and magically engineered tributes, who were once offered up in sacrifice to the gods. The cruel practice of sacrificing virgins has been stopped by the gods, but edion continue to be bred as fitting tributes to be claimed by their gods. (An edion will refer to his or her god as Anki'on (often shortened to Anki.) The plural is Ankien.) They are pure and possess some of the DNA of their gods. For this reason, they’re considered sideways children of the gods. There is much more to the edion, and too much to list here. Edion may only be touched by their gods. The penalty for touching one, let alone harming one, is …. somewhat worse than death. In fact if you touch anyone else who belongs to a god - without their consent - you're in deep shit.
After living in the same palace or building as their Ankien for many years, Edion are infused with the divine power of their gods. They undergo a metamorphosis and become Ed'iori, creatures of magic and light.
Slavery: has been rife on Keldra for centuries. The Tzars brought it into the open, enabling legislation to be passed for the humane treatment of slaves. As Keldra is an advanced world, technologically speaking, workers are not as necessary as on some worlds. For this reason, slaves tend to be sex workers, or possessors of some very useful ability. There is a law of 'retainership' that every slave has a right to, after five to ten years of service. This means the owner has to open an account for a slave, and train them in their chosen trade for two years. After this period, the slave is freed, and has a trade, with some start-up money. Some slaves do in fact opt to remain as slaves (Zack included) life is usually pretty good for them.
Forms of address: If one is close enough and has permission, one may address a god by name. If not, one addresses the Tzars as your Grace or my leige. One addresses the Chieftains the same way unless one of the Tzars is present, then it's my Lord or my Lady. All other Kayori are addressed as Lord or Lady, never your Grace.
Zack's life: is pretty sweet. He's adored by the ruling pack and known by all the staff, the edion, and the other slaves. Although most of the Divine-Imperial slaves are highly skilled in pleasure-giving, the Tzars have not had Zack trained. It was felt that this would ruin everything they loved about him; which is for being a doe-wild wraith, who is infinitely fuckable just as he is. This does not mean he hasn't learnt how to please, though, quite the contrary. He just does it in his own way.
Gods have tremendous sexual appetites, but between the seraglio, the edion, and other lovers outside the palace, the ruling pack gets plenty of satisfaction. Zack gets more than enough downtime, and also lots of attention from his owners. Life is idyllic and happy. Why would he want freedom? Yeuch. Of the ruling pack, Zack is closest to Vahlmir, and unknown to the wraith, Vahl will soon take him as a Beta, making him pack, and elevating his status. Zack doesn't care about status; he'll just be overjoyed that Vahl's love for him is equal to his own for Vahl.

SPECIES
Kelde: The Keldran word for ordinary humans. Living within a sentient nebula, even ordinary mortals will usually have some small gift of power or magic. This includes but is not limited to: use of magic, telekinesis, psychic ability, empathy.
There was never any bigotry towards women, due to half the gods being female, and the fact that kelde females were never the weaker sex. They usually have some ability to defend themselves against even physically strong men. Neither was there ever any intolerance for people at varying points on the Kinsey scale. There are no words on Keldra for 'gay' or 'straight' or anything LGBTQ. People just are what they are and are accepted as binary, nonbinary, or genderfluid, to name a few.
Other species: There are so many! All through the different realms, there are; vampires, demons, sirenians (merpeople), quralir (shapeshifters), fae, nymphs, spirits, wraith, angels and more, including hybrids of many of the species. Not all Keldran species can interbreed.
Pack: Kelde are descended from apes, like Terran humans, only those apes formed packs, like wolves. This was never lost during the evolutionary process, so modern Keldrans of all species still form packs instead of couples to this day. It's complicated, there is pack, pack-adjacent, extended pack, clan, etc. Each pack can be a Venn diagram with the next one.
The ruling pack are Vahlmir and Simon Ravenhead, Chimaera na Oeiri, and Phoenix Kaelen. They have pack members who are considered pack, such as Lex Brierley - another wraith - but not part of the ruling pack. When Zack becomes Vahl's beta, he will be pack, but not part of the ruling pack proper.
In the wraith tongue, Aisaak Gavrienne means: Aisaak = diminutive of Aisailine, meaning 'possessing the qualities of blue topaz'. (Blue topaz = Aisailine) Gavrienne - antiquated word for bezel, the setting of a stone. The wraith language is poetic and doesn't always translate directly.
